Every so often I come across a project I just have to share with you all and this is certainly one of them! Taylor tagged me in her photos on Instagram and I loved seeing her photos of her garment and her process.
The story of Taylor’s version of Mdina Cardigan starts with a sheep. Taylor bought a fleece from a Fleecewood, a fibre farm in Minnesota, US. She then prepared, dyed, carded and spun her own yarn. This precious yarn was in turn knitted into a Mdina Cardigan and I absolutely love how it has turned out.
Mdina is a fairly plain cardigan pattern with ribbons of stocking stitch breaking up the reverse stocking stitch body and the slight blue/grey speckle of the yarn adds wonderful texture to this design. The cardigan looks fabulous on Taylor and you can see further images over on her Instagram profile here.
If you fancy making your own Mdina you can find more info here.
Have you knitted any of my patterns? I would love to hear all about how you found it, good and bad! Seeing your projects makes me develop as a designer and I really appreciate every tag and comment.
